Thank you, troops!
At this time of year, there’s so much to be thankful for. Family, health, job, living in America. But we all need to take a minute to stop and remember the men and women who sacrifice to give us the lives we enjoy. A small group of Marines encountered a much larger group of insurgents in Afghanistan. The designated markesmen in the group that day gave an amazing display of ability. At the end of the battle:
“I didn’t realize how many bad guys there were until we had broken through the enemies’ lines and forced them to retreat. It was roughly 250 insurgents against 30 of us,” the corporal said. “It was a good day for the Marine Corps. We killed a lot of bad guys, and none of our guys were seriously injured.”
Making the victory sweeter – the insurgents had been telling locals how the Americans were soft and weak. That day, the US Marines put the lie to those boasts.
